Tarleton State University increases enrollment for fifth year in a row
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Wednesday, September 21, 2016 STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University sets a record for total enrollment for the fifth year in a row with 13,063 students, an increase of 6 percent from last year and up 32 percent from 2011, based on the 12th class day report. Record fall 2016 enrollment numbers continue to make Tarleton one of the fastest growing public universities in Texas. Enrollment for first-time-in-college students is the highest in university history with 2,169 students. Hispanic enrollment is up 14 percent with 2,388 students, and the university’s doctoral program in educational leadership increases 13 percent with 137 students. “It’s clear that Tarleton attracts the best and brightest students in increasing numbers,” said Tarleton President Dr. F.
